Construction of a solid wood garden shed, designed and built to measure to optimize an urban outdoor space.
The structure combines traditional carpentry techniques with modern solutions: the flat roof, large sliding glass doors and natural wood cladding create an elegant continuity between interior and exterior.
The result is a bright, efficient, and sustainable building, perfect as a study, laboratory, relaxation area, or small office.

Technical features
Structure:
- Walls made of solid Nordic spruce wood, 45 mm thick
- Load-bearing frame in laminated wood
- Flat roof with beam structure and metal covering
- Foundation on concrete slab
Openings:
- Sliding door system with three double glass panels
- Natural wood frame
- Aluminum sliding guides
Dimensions:
- Surface area: approximately 20 m²
- Internal height: 2.40 m
- Plan dimensions: approximately 4.5 x 5 m
Construction phases
Phase 1 – initial structure
Preparation of the reinforced concrete slab and assembly of the load-bearing structure in wood.
At this stage, the main roof beams are positioned, which will define the slope and overall solidity of the construction.

Phase 2 – Completion of the roof
Completion of the laminated wood roof structure, with a 2% slope for correct water drainage.
The metal covering is fixed upon completion, ensuring resistance and durability over time.

Phase 3 – Assembly of walls and cladding
Laying of the solid wood walls through a male-female interlocking system and subsequent assembly of the external cladding in natural wood.
This phase gives the structure its final appearance and the first insulating characteristics.

Phase 4 – Installation of sliding doors
Laying of the system sliding glass doors with natural wood frame and double insulating glass.
The large glass surfaces improve the internal brightness and allow a direct connection with the garden.

Phase 5 – Completion and finishing touches
Application of the handcrafted finishes, installation of frames and aesthetic finishing.
The structure is completed with the final metal covering, gutters and functional details that guarantee aesthetics and protection over time.
